Acceptance of terms
By downloading or using Hearing Buddy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
Use of the app
Hearing Buddy is provided as a personal communication aid. You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the app complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including any laws around recording or transcribing other people.
Subscriptions and billing
Hearing Buddy offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions purchased through the App Store.
Billed to your Apple ID at confirmation. Your plan renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime under Manage Subscription in the Hearing Buddy Settings tab, or in your App Store account. Continuing means you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Subscription prices, the length of each renewal period, and the features included are shown on the in-app purchase screen before you confirm. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
All purchases are processed by Apple and governed by Apple's terms of sale. Refunds are handled by Apple through your App Store account.
Apple Licensed Application EULA
The Hearing Buddy iOS app is licensed, not sold, to you. Your use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and upon your acceptance of these terms Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Accuracy of transcription
While we strive for accuracy, speech recognition technology is not perfect. Hearing Buddy should not be relied upon for critical, legal, or medical communications where accuracy is essential. Always verify important information through other means.
Intellectual property
Hearing Buddy and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Lilly Seay and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Limitation of liability
Lilly Seay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the app.
Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. If we make material changes we will notify users through the app or by updating this page, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
