The Phonak Naída Lumity is a power behind-the-ear hearing aid built for severe-to-profound hearing loss, priced at $2,798 to $4,598 per pair. Released in 2023 as the successor to Naída Paradise, it pairs the power to fit profound loss with universal Bluetooth streaming, hands-free calling, and built-in RogerDirect — a combination you rarely find in an ultra-power BTE. You can choose a rechargeable model (L-PR) or an ultra-power model that runs on 675 disposable batteries (L-UP).

A great fit if you…

need ultra-power output but refuse to give up Bluetooth streaming, hands-free calls, or Roger remote microphones.

Our Take

The Naída Lumity is Phonak's most powerful hearing aid line, made for people with severe-to-profound hearing loss who often get left behind by sleek mainstream models. Its real edge isn't raw output — the Oticon Xceed pushes louder — it's that you don't give up modern conveniences to get serious power: universal Bluetooth works with both iPhone and Android, calls are truly hands-free, and RogerDirect means a Roger remote microphone connects without an extra receiver. You also get a real choice in power source — the rechargeable L-PR, or the L-UP running about 11-12 days on a size-675 battery.

The main thing you trade away is recency. Released in 2023, the Naída still runs on the Lumity platform, so it doesn't get the newer Infinio AI processing — and as of July 2026, no Naída Infinio has been released. The rechargeable L-PR skips the telecoil (the L-UP keeps it), its roughly 16-hour charge is on the shorter side, and there's no LE Audio or Auracast. And by nature, this is a large behind-the-ear device.

If you live in the Phonak and Roger ecosystem, or you want hands-free calling in an ultra-power aid, the Naída Lumity is the stronger pick. At $2,798-$4,598 per pair, it sits right alongside power rivals like the Oticon Xceed ($3,198-$4,598), so price rarely decides this one. If maximum raw output or newer processing matters more than streaming extras, ask your hearing care professional to compare it against the Xceed and ReSound Enzo IA.

Phonak Naída Lumity Questions

At $2,798 to $4,598 per pair, the Naída Lumity is priced in line with other power hearing aids like the Oticon Xceed and ReSound Enzo IA ($3,198-$4,598 each). What you're paying for is the power to fit severe-to-profound loss plus features rare in this class: universal Bluetooth, hands-free calling on iPhone and Android, and built-in RogerDirect. If you need that combination, the price is competitive; it's not a budget option.

Both are power BTEs built for severe-to-profound hearing loss, and their prices overlap: the Naída Lumity runs $2,798-$4,598 per pair versus $3,198-$4,598 for the Oticon Xceed. The Xceed leads on raw output, while the Naída's edge is connectivity — universal Bluetooth with hands-free calling on both iPhone and Android, plus RogerDirect for remote microphones without an added receiver. It also offers a rechargeable option (L-PR) alongside the 675-battery L-UP. Which fits your loss and ears best is a conversation for your hearing care professional.

It depends on which model you choose. The rechargeable Naída L-PR runs about 16 hours per charge, including up to 4 hours of streaming — enough for most days, but shorter than many rechargeable aids. The Naída L-UP uses a size-675 disposable battery that lasts roughly 11-12 days, so you swap batteries instead of charging nightly. The L-UP also includes a telecoil, which the rechargeable L-PR lacks.

Yes on Bluetooth: the Naída Lumity streams from both iPhone and Android with universal Bluetooth and supports hands-free calling, which is unusual in an ultra-power BTE. It does not support LE Audio or Auracast. The telecoil depends on the model — the size-675 disposable L-UP includes one, while the rechargeable L-PR does not. Both models have RogerDirect built in for Phonak's Roger remote microphones and carry an IP68 water and dust rating.
